Why We Have a Large Party Policy on Weekends
At Sipeos, we love hosting groups, whether it’s a birthday, family gathering, team dinner, or a meal with friends. Because our restaurant is small and intimate, with 25 seats inside, larger parties take up a significant portion of our dining room at one time. For that reason, we have a large party policy for groups of 9 or more on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
We understand that minimums can sometimes feel unexpected, so we want to be transparent about why this policy exists. On weekends, when demand is highest, larger parties typically stay longer, reduce table turns, and based on our sales data, often spend less per person than our average weekend guest because groups tend to share more items.
We completely understand that every gathering has a budget, and we never want guests to feel surprised or uncomfortable when making plans. If Sipeos had a larger dining room or a separate private event space, we would not need this type of minimum. With our current space, this policy helps us responsibly manage reservations while still welcoming larger groups whenever possible. Thank you for your understanding and for supporting us.
